TIA — This Is Ali
درباره TIA

This Is Ali —

TIA — This Is Ali — is UK Registered Charity No. 1204997.

“They are of two kinds, either your brother in religion or one like you in creation.”

Imam Ali asws — Nahjul Balagha, Letter 53. On meeting every person with dignity, as a kin in faith or an equal in humanity.

  • Justice

    Put things where they belong

Justice, for Imam Ali asws, is not a slogan — it is putting every right in its rightful place and giving each person their due.

It means help reaching those who need it most, and resources handled with the same care whether anyone is watching or not.

TIA focuses on a few causes done properly rather than an endless grid of appeals, so support reaches real need and nothing is inflated for effect.

  • Compassion

    A heart accustomed to mercy

Imam Ali asws counselled that those entrusted with others should habituate their hearts to mercy, affection and kindness — never treating people as a problem to be managed.

Compassion is the warmth in how service is given, not only the fact that it is given.

From a warm meal handed to a pilgrim on the road to Karbala to sustained care for a family at home, TIA tries to serve with gentleness, not just efficiency.

  • Service

Carry a burden so others are eased

In Letter 53, Imam Ali asws urges particular care for the poor, the destitute, and orphans and the aged who have no means of livelihood — the very people easiest to overlook.

Khidmah is faith made practical: showing up, doing the work, and taking the weight so someone else can stand.

Meals, orphan support, processions and year-round care near Karbala — TIA measures itself by service delivered, not statements issued.

  • Dignity

Every person, an equal in creation

Imam Ali asws reminded those in authority that the people before them are of two kinds — a brother in faith, or one like you in creation.

Dignity means help is offered without humiliation, and the person receiving it is honoured as fully as the person giving.

TIA tries to give in a way that protects people's self-respect — quiet, respectful, and never turning a person in need into a photo opportunity.

  • Wisdom

Seek what is true, then act on it

Imam Ali asws described a wise saying as the lost property of the believer — worth seeking wherever it is found, and worth nothing until it is lived.

Wisdom joins knowing to doing: it keeps service thoughtful, honest and rooted in something deeper than a trend.

TIA keeps its work source-rooted rather than slogan-led — reflection shared here is tied to action, and TIA aims to teach by conduct before words.
